IT’S OVER.
The awards have been given out, Jon Stewart’s done hosting this, hopefully for good, and everyone in Hollywood is excited about the post-Oscar parties.
Me? I’d crash some of them but I lack interest and experience. Besides, there’s movies laying about here. “The Train.” A good way to spend the rest of the evening, watching Burt Lancaster as a Frenchman with no accent. There’s a lot of suckers on the East Coast tonight.
And you know, I don’t feel anything but a little anger toward the ceremony. None of the ceremony had the feeling of the opening sequences. It’s truly Hollywood’s major ego stroke fest.
But pimps and whores won awards tonight. And that was entertaining. And that was about it.
