HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIMMY STEWART
So, Jimmy Stewart was born today, and in celebration I had a bit of a marathon with “Harvey,” “Rope,” “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance,” and “The Philadelphia Story.” Here’s probably one of the most famous ad libbed scenes in one of the best romance comedies ever made. Cary Grant and Stewart have dynamite chemistry.
