THE BOOTLEG FILES: “ONE-EYED JACKS”
BOOTLEG FILES 037: “One-Eyed Jacks” (1961 Western epic starring and directed by Marlon Brando).
LAST SEEN: Playing on MovieFlix.com
AMERICAN HOME VIDEO: Only in cheap public domain copies.
REASON FOR DISAPPEARANCE: The film’s lapsed copyright has allowed entrepreneuring video pirates to duplicate this film, providing no incentive for Paramount Pictures to offer a restored and remastered re-release.
CHANCES OF SEEING A HOME VIDEO/DVD RELEASE: Very unlikely.
BOOTLEG OPPORTUNITIES: Too many, but quality control is non-existent.
