THE BOOTLEG FILES: “KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK”
BOOTLEG FILES: 004
Film: “KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park” (1978 made-for-television mix of rock and sci-fi courtesy of Hanna-Barbera productions)
Last seen: occasional cable television broadcasts into the early 1990s; audio and video clips are presented on a fan site at www.kissdominion.com/PHANTOM.HTM
American home video release: from Worldvision Entertainment in 1982 and GoodTimes Entertainment in 1986.
Reason for disappearance: unclear, though perhaps it is being kept out of release because it is too silly for words.
Chances of seeing it again on home video or DVD: not impossible, given that KISS is still popular, but one would imagine this should already be in circulation.
Bootleg video opportunities: plentiful, but be very careful who you sell your bootleg to, as this edition of The Bootleg Files finds your correspondent facing the threat of jail!
