FILM FESTIVAL GOES UP IN SMOKE
On November 16th, Cheech Marin will make an appearance at The Latino Film Festival for a screening of Luis Valdez’s 1994 film, “The Cisco Kid,” starring Marin and Jimmy Smits. The screening, which will take place at the Towne Center in San Jose, is a tribute to director Valdez, who will also be in attendance.
“The Cisco Kid” is an update of the 1950 western TV adventure series and changes Cisco and Pancho from the wandering heroes of the old west to somewhat anti-gringo Mexican revolutionaries. It was shot completely on location in Mexico.
