CINEMATEXAS BRINGS THE GECKOS

In a closing ceremony packed with students, artists and filmmakers from around the world, the Cinematexas International Short Film Festival announced the winners of its 2003 short film competition. The famed Gecko was presented for excellence in various categories including best low budget film and best documentary.
International Competition Awards:

Best Editing: “SLOW START” (DIR Marc Schmidt)
Best No Budget: “THE STAIRWAY AT ST. PAUL’S” (DIR Jeroen Offerman)
Audience Choice Award: “VIVA LA GUERRA” (DIR Paul Hanley)
