GET MIFFED
Plans for the 6th annual Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival are being made, September 9-11. This year’s festival will take place at The Henegar Center for the Arts and the Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium 10.
Each year the MIFF raises money for local charities while bringing cutting- edge entertainment to the Space Coast. This is a festival for filmmakers put on by filmmakers.
Right now, in preparing for the 6th annual event, MIFF has issued a call for entries. Before May 1st, submissions are free. That’s right, FREE. After May 1st, they go up to a whopping $5.00, of which 100% goes directly to two charities – Unconditional Love and Yellow Umbrella (an HIV+ Outpatient Center and Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse). The festival is seeking all types of genres – Action, Cartoon, CGI Animation, Comedy, Documentaries, Drama, Horror, Music Videos, Romance, Science Fiction, and Suspense – both shorts and features.
