DANCESWITHFILMS HANDS OUT 2005 AWARDS
DancesWithFilms culminated its weeklong film festival on May 12, 2005 with an awards presentation atop the Bel Age
Hotel in West Hollywood. Tamar Halpern’s “Shelf Life” topped the pack for Feature Best of Jury and Steven & Whitney Boe’s “Ugly on the Inside” shined in the Short Subject category winning Best of Jury. Honorable Mentions went to Pete Red Sky’s feature “The White Horse is Dead” and tying for honors in short subject was Sara Rashad’s “Tahara” and Temah Nelson’s “Unspoken”.
Other winners include the feature Audience Award, “America 101” by Mark A. Russell and Michael Wasserman with an Honorable Mention going to Eli Steele’s “What’s Bugging Seth?”Short Subject Audience Award went to Michael Berry’s “Day of the Grackle” with the honorable mention received by Devon Kelly’s “Cainarchy”. Documentary Audience Award was bestowed upon Jenny Stein’s “Peaceable Kingdom” with honorable mention awarded to Josh Adell’s “Finding Bryon”.
