Subway Cinema returns like the Jedi to present its fourth annual festival devoted to new feature films from Asia, June 17 – July 2. This year’s program includes Save the Green Planet, “Godzilla Final Wars,” “Tetsujin-28″ and Three…Extremes.
These are the most dynamic, highest-grossing, and award-winning movies from China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Thailand and Korea and, except for two of them, they’ve never played New York before. After last year’s sold-out festival, this year’s event will be spread over two venues – the Anthology Film Archives in the East Village and the new Asian American theater, The ImaginAsian, on the Upper East Side.
