TIE ON SOME EXPERIMENTAL FILM
The International Experimental Cinema Exposition 2005 is getting ready to lift off this September 21st-25th in Denver, Colorado. The line-up thus-far includes over 75 films, including several Single-8mm and Super-8mm films as well as many 16mm and 35mm pieces that explore beyond the limits of contemporary screen culture. The festival’s various events will be held at several of Colorado’s most adored and respected venues and cinema-houses, including the Mayan Theatre, Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver, The Bug Theatre, The Assembly Gallery and the Denver Starz FilmCenter.
New films by: ^ Peter Tscherkassky, David Gatten, Phil Solomon, Nathaniel Dorsky, François P. Boué, Martha Colburn and many others.
Rarely seen films by: ^ Andy Warhol, Boyd Rice, Tony Hill, Jack Smith and several others.
Expanded Cinema by: ^ Alex Mckenzie, Jason Wade and other cineastes expandistas.
Filmmaker’s Art Gallery: ^ Sheri Wills, Boyd Rice, Telemaach Wiesinger and other TIE -2005 filmmakers will have pieces exhibiting at the Assembly Gallery for the month of September, opening on Friday, 9/2. The Filmmaker’s Gallery is co-curated by Jared Anderson.
