The 2006 festival will be held March 10-18, 2006 in Austin, TX.
“We’re very excited for the 2006 festival, and we can’t wait to begin reviewing submissions and planning the schedule of another terrific SXSW,” says Matt Dentler, the Festival Producer for SXSW. The 2005 SXSW Film Festival drew record numbers of attendees from all over the world and feature screenings of such acclaimed films as “The Aristocrats,” “Murderball,” “Palindromes,” “Unleashed,” and many others. Films that have received distribution deals since screening at SXSW 2005 include: “Emmanuel’s Gift,” “Green Street Hooligans,” “Mirage,” “Reel Paradise,” “The Roost,” “Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic,” and more!
