Lloyd Kaufman and his Troma film company put on quite a show in Park City. The Tromadance Film Festival’s motto “give independent film back to the people” could not have come at a better time. The series of screenings allowed Park City festivalgoers not only a chance to view sleaze pics from the New Jersey film company, but gave audiences shut out of sold out Sundance screenings a place to get warm. The Toxic Avenger could be seen walking down Main Street promoting the event as well as scaring the crap out of anyone unfamiliar with the loveable mutant. The event climaxed with a “Glow-in-the-Dark” party that featured the Hawaiian Tropic girls. Unlike most parties in Park City, this one was open to the public and went until after hours which also made it one of the hottest tickets in town. Scantily clad women and indie film are a welcome mix in Park City since, sadly, this is a cold mountain town without a single strip club.
