SANTA MONICA FILM FEST X-SERIES
The Santa Monica Film Festival, which culminates in their big event from [ February 14th to the 19th, 2001 ] , hosts a monthly film showcase known to all as the X-Series. This month’s installment, which will screen on [ Thursday, December 14th ] beginning at [ 7PM ] , brings a handful of new independent films to light at [ Laemmle's Monica 4 Plex Theater ] in Santa Monica.
First up is “Naropa” by Cameron Baity, followed by Fredrick Johnson’s “Beat,” the John Cheever short story-based “Merry Christmas,” Steven Dunning’s “Now Chinatown” and “A Fight to the Finish,” which documents America’s continuing struggle with the plague of polio.
