MOXIE! AT THE SANTA MONICA FILM FEST
The Fifth Annual Santa Monica International Film Festival, which runs from [ February 14th ] through [ February 19th, 2001 ] , will heat up L.A. when they host their Fourth Annual Moxie! Awards on the last day of the Festival. The Awards aim to serve as “an homage to the sheer guts and perseverance that independent filmmakers have in order to succeed in an extremely competitive and challenging industry.”
This year’s far-out theme is Sci-Fi, and the Festival will be paying particular tribute to Ray Bradbury, Forrest Ackerman and Ray Harryhausen, the esteemed fathers of Science Fiction.
