THE SHORT ATTENTION SPAN FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL

The Short Attention Span Film and Video Festival likes to keep things short and sweet — under two minutes long, to be exact. Their 9th Annual Festival has been accepting short-short film entries from far and wide over the last few months, and a Festival tour begins on [ September 1st, 2001 ] in Georgia and continues across the whole big, fat country through November.
A bit about the SASFVF:
Founded in 1991 in San Francisco, The Short Attention Span Film and Video Festival was the world’s first festival to present short, short films — each under two minutes long. The festival was created to provide a showcase for filmmakers with great ideas but low budgets. Since its inception, the festival has also provided a network of support for short film and video makers in the U.S. and around the world. For the past eight years, SASFVF has continued to grow extensively and now plays to packed houses in 16 cities around the country on its travelling theater tour. The festival program typically consists of 60 to 70 two-minute films and runs for just over an hour and a half. The films themselves are very eclectic: some are rough and some polished, some hilarious and others heartbreaking. They all, however, demonstrate the fantastic power of the short film.
