The First Annual Dahlonega International Film Festival (DIFF) is pleased to announce that visionary director John Waters (Pink Flamingos, Cry Baby, Polyester, Pecker, Cecil B. Demented), is scheduled for a semi-private salon limited to 20 participants. The salon will involve Mr. Waters giving a seminar similar to his “Shock Value” lecture, and screening participant-requested clips of his work and clips from filmmakers who have influenced him.
“We are very excited to host maverick filmmaker John Waters at our inaugural film festival,” says DIFF Executive Director Barry Norman.” “One of our first participants to sign up for the salon is former professional World Champion Sid Vicious, and I can’t wait to see those two in the same room together.”
The salon will take place Saturday, June 30 from 10AM – 3 PM in Dahlonega, GA. Tickets are $1000 and include breakfast and lunch.
Anyone interested in purchasing tickets for this special fundraising event should e-mail Festival Programmer Michael Williams. Please include a short biography in your e-mail. The DIFF will screen 150 films from 17 countries between June 28 – July 1. For more information, please visit the official Dahlonega International Film Festival web site.
