The Telluride IndieFest festival has done some moving and shaking to align their schedule with that of the well-respected (and much bigger) Telluride Film Festival. The new dates for the IndieFest are August 30th-September 1st, 2002.
Aside from the obvious benefit of hosting the IndieFest during another festival’s run in order to maximize on the film-going crowd scene, the Telluride IndieFest emphasizes “the best independent films and screenplays in the world,” whereas the Telluride Film Festival is more of an “arts cinema” event that requires premieres of selected films.
Find out more about the Telluride IndieFest, including a look at the winners from past events and plenty of info for those planning to attend, at the official IndieFest site.
