TRIBUTE TO HOWE AT SIFF

The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), which runs from May 23rd through June 16th, 2002, will pay tribute to one of America’s greatest cinematographers (and also one of its most versatile). James Wong Howe will be remembered with a four-film series playing on each Saturday throughout the festival.
The Howe features set to screen are the lush The Prisoner of Zenda (1937), the noir classic Pursued (1947), the gorgeous Picnic (1955) and the “Broadway-by-night” Sweet Smell of Success (1957).
For more on the James Wong Howe tribute and other SIFF events and screenings, pay a visit to the official Seattle International Film Festival site.
