UNDERGROUND FILM IN DC
The film community in Washington, DC has had enough of bland, big-budget nonsense from Hollywood, so they’re starting their own underground film festival.
“The DC Underground Film Festival emerged to highlight independent movies that defy convention and the mainstream,” said Allyson Kapin, the festival’s director. “DCUFF is going to be the online and offline hub for low budget artists to get their ideas and compelling stories into the public’s consciousness.”
The first annual DC Underground Film Festival is sceduled for April 2003.
