DVD ads

[Key Largo]

I recently bought "Poolhall Junkies" on DVD and everytime I put the disc on, there's mandatory commericial for Mazda. You can't skip the ad and go straight to the menu, you have to watch this ad every single time.

Is this the only DVD with ads you're forced to watch?

I've had this experience once, on a DVD that I got for free when I bought a pizza. I wasn't too angry about that one, because hey -- free DVD.

Either way, it's a bunch of crap that you can't get to the movie without watching the ad. Even with VHS, you had the option to fast forward. Damn the man.

At least you can mute a DVD. The only way to drown out commercials in a goddamned theater is to scream at the top of your lungs. And the people sitting next to me rarely appreciate that.
