Hey, why don't we put one of our own into the National Film Registry?
Chris Gore's short film "Red" qualifies for the Registry.
You can nominate "Red" at the National Film Registry web site (http://www.loc.gov/film/vote.html) or you can e-mail your nomination directly to Steve Leggett at the Library of Congress (sleg@loc.gov). In nominating "Red," remember to mention it was made in 1993, stars Lawrence Tierney, is directed by Film Threat's Chris Gore, and is a short film which is now available from Film Threat DVD (www.filmthreatdvd.com).
But do it now -- they are currently pulling together nominees for the 2005 list!

Every year at least one title pleasantly surprises me by its inclusion (like Eraserhead this year, or Eaux d'Artifice a couple of years back). There was even a Popeye cartoon on the list this year. In a day and age when movies from the early '90's are considered "vintage", it's good to see some titles are assured of not falling through the cracks.
