How is this fest for indie film. Good?

I thought so. The organizers are very interested in accomodating the filmmakers, as far as I could tell, and everybody who attended last year seemed to agree.
The facilities at the Nova Meyerland (where the festival was held) aren't exactly state of the art, but the enthusiasm makes up for it. I'm looking forward to covering it again.

i had a professional piece in competition at WorldFest last year and my experience with them was great. i'd recommend it, especially if you're as close as austin.

Yeah, if you're in Austin you really ought to check it out.
Though I'm not sure where it's being held this year, since they closed the Nova down this week.

I don't know about WorldFest - I have actually heard a lot of BAD things from people in Houston's indie community. Apparantly the guy who runs the festival is pretty arrogant and not too community-oriented. Even though there HAVE been some good films at that festival - a lot of them are just awful...
in my opinion...

Hey, I never said the *films* were good. My experience was pretty positive, is all.
