I thought it was at least somewhat interesting. There seemed to be some audio issues which ditracted from it's presentation but...descent anyway. I'd check it out when you get finished.
Thanks, Jason.
I should have mentioned that the Windows Media verison has some inherent sound problems due to incorrect encoding. I recommend the Quicktime version if you watch it.

Nice work! But it really takes off only when people stop talking and the music and action shots start. I'd cut back hard on the first section with the talking. I'd go so far as to cut it all except the old guy saying "Golf is the finest game ever invented by man." From that, plunge right into the second section with the music and action. And in that sequence, instead of the car shot use the golf cart shot that was cut earlier.
Snappier and sharper. Just my two cents!
So what's the distribution plan?
All the best,
Greg

Thanks, Greg. I've often wondered about the front section. I hate to cut it entirely, but at the same time, I do agree it drags. Initially it was only supposed to be a 30-second teaser, but the music seemed to beg for the action to continue.
Distribution plan? Does hoping that the gods favor us count as a distribution plan?
We were contacted by Miramax expressing a desire to see the finished cut following our listing in the Hollywood Reporter, but from what I've been told they simply contact everyone who bothers to post a listing. So I haven't put a lot of stock in that.
We have submitted rough cuts (I know -- bad idea) to Slamdance, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, SXSW and Cinequest and been rejected by the first three. Naturally, we plan to keep submitting to other festivals, but I'd like to hold off until we have completed the Web site and made a final cut with ADR, color correction, sound sweetening and finalized F/X.
Any words of wisdom for an utterly naive novice with notions of granduer?
BTW -- You have one of the better Web sites I've seen. I think there's just something about a sharp Web site that really adds interest to seeing a movie.
