Well everyone... it's that time of year again. Listed below are my predictions for this year's Golden Globes. I've decided to skip the TV Cagetories because I haven't been watching enough television to make an informed opinion. So without further adue:

Best Picture, Drama: Mystic River

Best Actor, Drama: Sean Penn, Mystic River

Best Actress, Drama: Charlize Theron, Monster

Best Picture, Comedy/Musical: Lost in Translation

Best Actor, Comedy/Musical: Bill Murray, Lost In Translation

Best Actress, Comedy/Musical: Diane Keaton, Something's Gotta Give

Best Supporting Actress: Hope Davis, American Splendor

Best Supporting Actor: Tim Robbins, Mystic River

Best Director: Clint Eastwood, Mystic River

Best Screenplay: Sophia Coppola, Lost In Translation

Best Original Score: Danny Elfman, Big Fish

Best Original Song: "You Will Be My Ain True Love" from Cold Mountain, by Sting

Best Foriegn Film: The Barbarian Invasions (From Canada)

Good call so far on Tim Robbins.

Excellent calls, overall. You got 7 hits, so you definetly have the pulse of the voters. As for LOTR, you have to admit that this movie doesn't leave anyone going "eh"... people either love it or hate it. I also think they were judging the movie not as "Return of the King" but as "Lord of The Rings" as a whole (but since you cannot give awards to movies from previous years, they had to give it to ROTK). But you surmised that already, I guess. Eager to see your Oscar choices.
