I actually wrote a blog entry for FT about 2 years ago entitled, "Ron Wells, can you hear me?" It was all about how FT hasn't been the same since he left and it questioned what might have happened to him. I decided not to publish it though because I don't really know what happened to him here behind the scenes.

The reason I wanted to know is that Drew McWeeny has been talking some serious shit about Wells at AICN and claims that he's flipping burgers for a living. I've been trying to get ahold of Gore but he hasn't got back to me.

Last I heard Ron works in the computer industry. I saw him a good 5-6 years ago and he was doing great....living with his GF in a nice pad in L.A. Where (and why) was McWeeny talking shit?? Is that douche still even on AICN?

There was a gigantic blowup on the AICN talkbacks about Roger Friedman admitting to downloading Wolverine. Harry Knowles and Drew McWeeny went on a tirade about how Friedman should be fired by Fox etc... So I and quite a few other talkbackers pointed out that AICN was built on insider info and their past activates in regards to bootleg copies of movies including Knowles seeing an illegally obtained copy of Star Wars : Attack of the Clones, the McWeeny/HULK story of 2003 not to mention the Joe Hallenbeck /Michael Gerhard fiasco.

Suffice to say that Knowles and McWeeny got on their high horse and started flaming anyone who brought up any of their past indiscretions so I brought up the article that Ron Wells wrote (Deconstructing Harry) back in 2000 about AICN. McWeeny started shitting on Wells, saying that he was flipping burgers for a living and that that he was giving out blowjobs for a quarter. He's not even at AICN anymore but he felt compelled to start shit so I had to hand him his fucking ass.

They took that position because Friedman is associated with Fox News and they thought we’d just cheer on their little crusade. Yeah, we all know Fox is a right wing propaganda machine and I hate them myself but you don't go around calling for someone to be fired for engaging in the same type of activity that you yourself have been involved in for over a decade.
