Awesome head shots in horror films

Which are your favorites?

I personally have a thing for the headshots in Dawn of the Dead (original) and The Beyond.

Again a movie I have not seen in its entirety. I have heard of that head explosion from my buddy.

Oh yeah, good one. I like the shotgun to the face in Maniac, myself. They blew up a watermelon to get the right effect. Vintage Savini.

The end of Roman Polanski's Macbeth has the best beheading I've ever seen in a movie.

For my money, it's the death of the voyeur pervert at the hands of the Mark 13 in Hardware.

Great decap, lousy flick

Kristy Swanson obliterating the old woman's head with a basketball in Deadly Friend. Then seeing the headless old woman jostle about with a bloody neck.

The Omen - plate glass severed acrobatic noggin'

Friday the 13th - mommy's head removed with more acrobatics

Day of the Dead - head pulled-off while screaming, pitch raises as neck is stretched

Blood Sucking Freaks - the brain sucked out of woman's skull ... wait a minute, that doesn't count... sorry

**actually Savini discussed the Maniac head trick - fired both barrels at a blood condom and entrail filled replica of his own head, not a watermelon**

Hmm, I had heard the watermelon thing. Cool way to do the effect, and to shoot a sequence that quickly, too...

If my memory serves correctly, I was impressed by the suicide head-shot in The Devil's Advocate. I'm not sure if that classifies as a horror movie, though.
