REMEMBERING GEORGE CARLIN
by Mark Bell
In tribute to George Carlin, one of the funniest comedians to ever grace the Earth and who has, sadly, passed away at the age of 71, we take a look at some of Carlin's classic comedy shows and routines. Rest in Peace, George...

George Carlin - On Location (1977)
Reportedly Carlin's first ever special for HBO, "On Location" is a unique presentation including historical perspective, first-person interviews and straight-up comedy.

George Carlin - Again (1978)
Arguably George at his best, Carlin hits on the seven dirtiest words in radio or television, brings us the hippy dippy weatherman and, in general, entertains and educates, one laughing audience at a time.

George Carlin - What Am I Doing in New Jersey?
11 years after his first HBO special, Carlin unveils his sixth, hitting the '80s with all the bluster he's got as the decade ends.

George Carlin - Life is Worth Losing (2005)
Carlin, at age 67, shows that he's still got the chops to make you think and laugh. He'd have one more HBO special after this one, 2008's "It's Bad for Ya."

What a horrible year it's been in the way of true legends moving on. Pollack, Winston, Russert, and now Carlin? What an end to an incredible era of comedy that broke actual ground from the school of Lenny Bruce. I wonder if Bill Maher will go on with the new season of his show.

A man who always saw things a bit too clearly has passed on... In a way, it's good... Now the immortals will have a voice among them to let them know when they're getting just a bit too full of themselves... But we'll miss you here, George...
