INTERNATIONAL GAY FILM AWARDS WINNERS
The International Gay Film Awards was held Friday, February 7, 2003 at the Renberg Theatre- Ed Gould Plaza in Hollywood. Presenters included Spirit Award nominee and award winning filmmaker from the hit film “Punks” Patrik Ian Polk. Also in attendance was the acclaimed actress from “Selena”, Chuck & Buck, and Real Women have Curves Lupe Ontiveros. Other presenters included Matthew Leich, star of 2003 Official Sundance Selection AKA-Lies are Like Wishes, Ayre Gross star of “Big Eden” and Dirk Shafer former Playgirl Centerfold and star of “Man of the Year” and director of “Circuit”.
The International Gay Film Awards recognizes independent and international gay themed films released theatrically. It is voted by Gay & Lesbian Film Festivals worldwide and the U.S. Gay Press.
