CRITICS VOTE

The New York Films Critics Circle, in its 69th year of honoring excellence in film, will conduct the voting for its awards on Monday, December 15th at the Muse Hotel in New York.
The NYFCC awards are traditionally considered both a precursor to the Academy Awards and an alternative to them, in recognizing the best in feature, documentary and foreign language films of the year.
The awards will be given out at their annual awards dinner on Sunday, January 4th at Noche in Manhattan.
“2003 has already proven to be a great year for films of all kinds, and we’re only at the halfway point,” said group chairman Andrew Johnston, film critic for Radar magazine. “We’ll certainly have no shortage of deserving films and performances to choose from when the time comes to vote on our awards.”
The 2003 New York Film Critic Circle awards will be posted on December 15th on the NYFCC website shortly after they are announced.
