The San Francisco Video Activists Network is screening their new documentary, “We Interrupt This Empire…” at the Egyptian Theatre on Oct 9th.
The documentary takes a look at the diverse show of resistance that shut down San Francisco on March 20th, the day after the US invaded Iraq, as well as providing a critique of the coporate media coverage of the war and exploring such issues as the Military Industrial Complex, attacks on civil liberties, and the United States’ current imperialist drive. The film has already played at sold out screenings in the San Francisco Bay Area, Portland OR, NYC among other cities and has screenings booked all over the world, including Austin TX, Boston MA, NYC, Amsterdam, Glascow, Toronto, and Seoul.
