KOREAN CINEMA SHOWCASE IN SAN DIEGO
Just weeks after its most successful annual film festival to date, the San Diego Asian Film Foundation (SDAFF) is
prepared to launch the Korean Cinema Showcase, a week of films from South Korea, November 7 – 13, at the Hazard Center Madstone Theaters in Mission Valley. The Showcase is co-presented by the Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles.
This showcase includes:
“MUSA”: action-adventure with Korean envoys rescuing a Ming princess in 14th-Century China. Shows at 12 noon (except Friday the 7th) and 6 pm, Friday through Sunday, November 7 – 9.
“LIBERA ME”: action-thriller with firefighters battling a serial arsonist. Shows at 3:15 (except Friday the 7th) and 9:30 pm, Friday – Sunday,
November 7 – 9.
“ART MUSEUM BY THE ZOO”: a contemporary romantic comedy. Shows at 5:15 pm, Monday through Friday, November 10 – 13.
“A DAY”: a romantic drama about a couple trying to survive life’s disappointments. Shows at 2:45 and 7:30 pm, Monday and Tuesday, November
10 and 11.
“BUTTERFLY”: futuristic meditation about environmental threats and civil unrest. Shows at 2:45 and 7:30 pm, Thursday and Friday, November 12 and 13.
“THE ISLE”:: shocking art-house drama about sexual manipulation set in bucolic countryside. Shows at 10 pm, Monday through Friday, November 10 – 13.
