CINESTORY HOSTS “POBOCHICK”
CineStory, a non-profit Chicago screenwriting association, will play host to Loreen Niewenhuis and Robin Slutsky and their comedy script “Pobochick” at a reading on [ Monday, October 23rd at 8 PM. ] The event takes place at Chicago’s Neo-Futurarium, which is located above the Nelson Funeral Chapel at the intersection of N. Ashland and Foster in Andersonville.
“Pobochick” takes place in an old Polish-Jewish Midwestern neighborhood and follows two good-hearted brothers who turn their family’s funeral parlor upside down. Niewenhuis and Slutsky have seen script success already with their work “First Lady,” which was optioned by TriStar Pictures this year. “Pobochick” also won third place honors at the Austin Film Festival.
