Special achievements in home video and DVD were honored at the 3rd Annual DVD Exclusive Awards December 2 at The Wiltern LG Theatre. Hosted by Jenny McCarthy, who came out in front of a crowd of more than 700 wearing a dress made out of DVDs, this celebrity-filled event is the video industry’s largest awards program and the only one that recognizes the individual artistic achievement in movies produced for home viewing and special editions of theatrical releases. The 3rd Annual DVD Exclusive Awards will air on the FX network on Tuesday, December 9th at 8:00 PM ET/PT. So that means we’ll all get to take a good look at them DVDs…you know which ones we’re talking about.
Among the top winners were:
Best Overall DVD, New Movie ^ The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Special Extended Edition
Best Overall DVD, Classic Movie ^ “Alien Quadrilogy”
Best Overall DVD, TV Program ^ “The Dick Van Dyke Show—Season One”
Best Behind-the-Scenes Program ^ “West Side Memories” from “West Side Story”
