CHIP LORD AT AURORA PICTURE SHOW
Chip Lord, indie media artist and founding member of Ant Farm, will be at the Aurora Picture Show for a one-night-only presentation on [ Sunday, September 24th at 8PM ]. The event highlights his latest, award-winning works, including “Mapping a City of Fragments v. 2″. “Mapping” uses the opening of Godard’s “Alphaville” to build a vision of the evolving global city during the last years of the 20th Century, and contrasts this cityscape with modern-day images of Silicon Valley. The program also features “Awakening from the 20th Century,” a montage of interviews exploring the concept of virtual life.
A donation of $5 is all that is asked of Aurora fans. For all information on this special event, and the latest Aurora goings-on, go to [ the Aurora Picture Show website. ]
