“FORBIDDEN ZONE” RE-RELEASED
Being a purveyor of the finest in underground cinema for many years now, I always get the question from folks with tastes on the twisted side – “When is ‘Forbidden Zone’ ever getting re-released?”
I’ve never had a real answer for that one, other than the reassurance that “Nothing that bizarre can just fade away. ‘Forbidden Zone’ will rear its mishapen head one day.”
Well, it looks like that day has come. Richard Elfman’s “Forbidden Zone,” the “Citizen Kane” of underground movies is finally getting a re-release, first to theaters for Midnight shows, next for a major DVD release this summer.
A whole shitload of prayers were just answered.
