DARK WAVE SWEEPS SAN FRANCISCO

On [ Friday, October 20th, 2000, ] the San Francisco Film Society will debut a special selection of films, for three days only, that represent the freakiest and most imaginitive movies of international cult and horror — just in time for Halloween, of course. The Dark Wave series will screen at the [ Roxie Cinema at 3317 16th Street ] in San Francisco.
Opening night is a double-pronged attack on the nervous system, with the infamous 80′s horror docu-drama “Demon Lover Diary” showing before the anticipated unveiling of “Blood” — the U.S. debut of a UK-based film about love on the brink of madness, with a nod towards early Cronenberg. As a part of this program, viewers are asked to stop by an hour before the screening to donate real blood for the Blood Centers of the Pacific. It’s blood for “Blood”.
