MANSON WILL BE RELEASED IN SEPTEMBER
Longtime film and video distributor MPI Media Group (“Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer”) and new theatrical distributor Dinsdale Releasing have signed a deal to bring “The Manson Family” to arthouse screens.
Fifteen years in the making, “The Manson Family”, formerly known as “Charlie’s Family” in film circles, is the second feature from filmmaker Jim Van Bebber. Van Bebber found a cult following in the late 80s with his feature “Deadbeat At Dawn” as well as for his short films and music videos for such bands as Skinny Puppy.
A self financed labor of love, “The Manson Family” is no “Helter Skelter”, telling the story from the point of view of the people who perpetrated the horrible crimes.
“The Manson Family” received finishing funds from Blue Underground UK and won Best Feature at the 2004 New York Underground Film Festival. The film will hit theaters in September.
