BLACK AND BROWN MONTHLY SHOWCASE
Black and Brown Shorts is a unique film collective that “celebrates and encourages independent cinema” with a monthly showcase of short films by African American and Latino American filmmakers. The next night of film is on [ Sunday, October 22nd ] at [ 6:30 PM ] , but the good people of Black and Brown encourage you to arrive a bit early, as parking is sucky in the Hollywood area. This month’s showcase will be held at:
Smith’s Artistic Company ^ 6448 Santa Monica Blvd. (b/w Wilcox and Cahuenga) ^ Hollywood, CA
Films by Michelle Coons, Aundre Johnson, Arlene Knight, and Rod J. Emelle are scheduled to screen, and a special guest judge, Robert Wheaton from Forest Whitaker’s Spirit Dance company, will also be in attendance. For more on this month’s show, and details on submitting your own film for future consideration, see the [ Black and Brown Shorts website. ]
