“RINGERS” PREVIEW IN PASADENA

Many surprises are in store for LORD OF THE RINGS fans attending TheOneRing.net’s big One Ring Convention (ORC) event in Pasadena, CA this weekend! The filmmakers behind RINGERS: LORD OF THE FANS will be hosting a one hour panel. The panel will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday, January
14th, 2005 and will include an in-depth discussion, as well as sneak peaks at various clips from RINGERS: LORD OF THE FANS. This will be the first and last opportunity to catch a glimpse of RINGERS before the film has its World Premiere in Park City, Utah at the 2005 Slamdance Film Festival the following week. Joining the filmmakers on the panel will be
RINGERS celebrity narrator, Dominic Monaghan. In addition to the RINGERS panel on Friday, the filmmakers will be present at the convention throughout the entire weekend, welcoming fans to their booth on the convention floor.
Several of the LOTR cast members featured in the documentary, RINGERS: LORD OF THE FANS, will be attending the ORC as well, including Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and John Rhys-Davies.
RINGERS: LORD OF THE FANS shows how, after 50 years, THE LORD OF THE RINGS continues to spark the minds and hearts of millions. RINGERS explores the real foundations of Middle-earth; a community of true fans who share a common bond. Moving beyond “cult classic” and over several
different generations, the film unearths countless people gathered under the banner of ‘Ringer’ – academics, musicians, movie stars, authors, filmmakers, and a plethora of pop junkies. Narrated by Dominic Monaghan, celebrity interviewees include Peter Jackson, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Clive Barker, and David Carradine.
