GET READY TO “DUCK” IN LOS ANGELES
Selected for American Cinematheque’s Alternative Screen Independent Showcase, Nic Bettauer’s DUCK receives its Los Angeles premiere attended by Philip Baker Hall and The Duck on Thursday July 21st at 7:30 pm at the Egyptian Theatre, 6712 Hollywood Blvd, followed by a Q & A with Philip Baker Hall, director Nic Bettauer and The Duck. Film Threat co-hosts an After-Party.
Its the year 2009 and the city of Los Angeles — along with the rest of the nation (now under the presidential power of Jeb Bush) has lost its parks, its social service programs and its common sense. Philip Baker Hall is a man without social security or a family, who finds himself without a home… but he does have a duck and together they travel the city in search of water and meaning in a decaying world.
