GAY SCREENPLAYS WIN!
The ONE IN TEN SCREENPLAY CONTEST, a screenplay contest dedicated to the positive portrayal of gays and lesbians (as well as the entire GLBTQ community) in film, celebrates it’s 7th anniversary this year. 227 scripts were submitted from around the world to the contest.
The 2005 ONE IN TEN SCREENPLAY CONTEST winners are:
1st Place – CONSTANT MAYHEM by Jon Zelazny – Los Angeles, CA ^ 2nd Place – HEAVENS TO BETSY by Brad Hennig – San Francisco, CA ^ 3rd Place – HAY’S CODE by Andrew B. Smith – Hattiesburg, MS
Two honorable mentions were awarded:
QUEERLY BELOVED by Aaron Eischens – Honolulu, HI ^ BUSTOR & BETTY’S BED & BRUNCH by Maureen Johnson – Los Angeles, CA
Winning screenplays are presented to Hollywood Studios, Agents and Producers. Cash prizes are also awarded to the top three winners.
