INDEPENDENT SPIRIT AWARDS ARE ANNOUNCED
Holy Shit!! The hilarious, amicable and highly talented Duplass Brothers secured TWO Independent Spirit Awards for their awesome film “The Puffy Chair.” Way to go guys! Those little fish will be swimming in a big ole pond with such films as “Capote,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “Good Night, and Good Luck,” “The Squid and the Whale” and “You, Me and Everybody We Know.”
“The Puffy Chair” (obviously a Film Threat favorite) was nominated for the John Cassavete’s Award which goes to the best feature made for under $500,000 and director Jay Duplass was nominated for the IFC/Acura Someone to Watch Award award in which winners get $25,000. Congrats to all nominees and way to go Jay and Mark!
