BELIEVE IT OR NOT: JIM CARREY & TIM BURTON SET TO MAKE A FLICK
You got your Ace Ventura in my Edward Scissorhands! You got your Edward Scissorhands in my Ace Ventura! In what will hopefully be two tastes that taste great together, it was announced that Tim Burton will direct Jim Carrey in an action-adventure movie based on the exploits of Robert Ripley. You may know Ripley better as the man responsible for the silly “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” museums all over the world.
The Paramount film, set to drop in late 2007, is being written by Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander who wrote “Ed Wood” as well as “Man on the Moon.” Shrunken heads! Bearded ladies! Conjoined twins! Goofy Jim Carrey rather than maudlin and moody Carrey! This should be cool.
