“Brokeback Mountain” director Ang Lee is still smarting from losing out on Best Picture to “Crash.” Although he was the first non-white to win Best Director, Lee said “we’ve won every award since September, but missed out on the last one, the biggest one.” Meanwhile speculation runs rampant that “Brokeback Mountain” suffered from bias against gays or bias towards American filmmakers.
