WOULD YOU KILL TO MAKE A MOVIE?
“Rough Cut,” a documentary about a filmmaker who carried out a hit on his DP’s wife in order to secure funding for his film, is hitting the festival circuit. We kid you not, it’s a true story. The film tells the tale of two indie horror filmmakers from central Pennsylvania who got wrapped up in murder when the DP of a film hired the director to murder his wife in exchange for $20,000. The story made national headlines when it appeared on Dateline NBC and the doc is slowly gathering steam. Intriguing to say the least.
