DEPP CAST IN BURTON’S “SWEENEY TODD”

In a casting move that only someone who has never seen a Tim Burton movie would be surprised by, Johnny Depp has joined the cast of Burton’s upcoming film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim stage musical “Sweeney Todd.” Depp will play the murderous barber of the same name who seeks his own brand of razor-slashing revenge against a judge who wrongfully imprisoned him.
