THIS IS (MINI) SPINAL TAP
Rob Reiner’s 1984 mockumentary “Spinal Tap” has spawned imitators galore, not to mention enough one-liners to put even “Caddyshack” to the test. Now, Sideshow Toy offers an homage to the classic music parody with their brand-new line of 12″ Spinal Tap figures.
David St. Hubbins, Derek Smalls, and Nigel Tufnel, all in mini-plastic form, look so true-to-”Tap” that it’s almost scary. And the accessories are as cool as it gets — lil’ extras, like records, David’s sketchpad, and Mr. Small’s infamous foil-covered cucumber are straight from the film and also ridiculously detailed. And if you feel the urge to stand these suckers up and say, “Hello, Cleveland” in an imaginary playtime show, then you can use the guitar-shaped stand that accompanies each doll (sorry, action figure) and get the band ready to rawk.
