At a recent premiere for the outstanding flick “Hollywoodland,” Bob Hoskins was asked if he was still in consideration for the role of the Penguin in the upcoming “Batman Begins” sequel, “The Dark Knight.” His response was strange in that he plucked a cigarette holder out of his breast pocket then grabbed a passer-by’s umbrella and top hat and then jumped off the terrace of the party. The umbrella snapped about one quarter of the way down and Hoskins landed on his ass all the while screaming “Whaa-whaa-whaa…Whaa-whaa-whaa.” According to witnesses it, was weird.
But seriously, Hoskins said he’d love to work with Nolan and would really love to be involved in the reinvigorated Batman franchise. Hoskins has that creepy fire inside, but our money is still with Phillip Seymore Hoffman.
