Rutger Hauer has long been a favorite amongst cinephiles, yet we really don’t know much about the guy. Yet now a new documentary by documentarian Simone de Vries shows probably more than you’d ever want to know about Hauer.
Apparently de Vries, who’s previous doc was on Kinky Friedman, followed Hauer around the globe for over two years documenting every typecast “creep” role and every straight-to-video classic. Plus, she delved into his personal life. The result was “Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes” and it should be hitting the festival circuit real soon.
