ROBERT ALTMAN, 1925-2006
Film director and legend, Robert Altman, passed away at a Los Angeles Hospital today of undisclosed causes.
The director was best known for his films M.A.S.H., Short Cuts and The Player, as well as his distinct shooting and directing style, wherein he would allow large ensembles of actors deliver dialogue that overlapped in common cadence and conversation.
Altman, 81, and his wife, Kathryn, had two sons, Robert and Matthew, and he had a daughter, Christine, and two other sons, Michael and Stephen, from two previous marriages.
